HDD Tower

Always wanted an open air case for my server as well as pc. Started having my board on the cardboard box it came in, but the major problem was the hard drives.

Sata cables used to bend when kept on either side, so had to elevate it using a laptop stand and somehow passthrough the bottom.

So had things like above cramped up in a closet, so the worse part was to have hard drives managed somehow using velcro and rubber bands :

Next issue : Sound , as closet is of wood plank, so when drives started, made sound due to vibrations not being absorbed, so had to get some rubber molecules attached to bottom.

This was quite a bad solution and too much was at stake i.e. 4 drives of 4tb iron wolves.

Other issues : Temperature was too high ofcourse as two drives were tied together.

Started on finding 3d prints, wanted the one that was scalable with small joint parts, after great print exploration found exactly the one I was looking for :

Had to suffice with this with some caveats like a half degree of disbalance and ofcourse got rubber dots underneath it, the whole structure was weak in comparison with the sata wires that had to be in a certain way.
