Started in 2020 with trueNAS for media access , the times when I was amazed with accessing media on network, discovering smb ftp protocols existence, then slowly grinding on truenas.
Then travel made another requirement for raspberry pi having dietPi-OS setup with ease of install, trying PiMox on a 4g ram with great bottlenecks.
Started with having too many tasks happening in background in my containers and with esp devices which requiremed me to have many functions automated for my regular workflow as in :

Always wanted an open air case for my server as well as pc. Started having my board on the cardboard box it came in, but the major problem was the hard drives.
Again and again standing up to turn on the bluetooth speaker tends to get in the way when done regularly so I have this tribit speaker and a jbl one that are designed to turn off after 15minutes of inactivity, which isn’t suitable for me as when working on desk, it can go inactive for more than 15 alot of time.
Not just that most devs or any person would have just a speaker always on in background, just to trigger music when one wants.
My daily job involves designing and editing files using Adobe after effects, photoshop, figma etc.
Started looking into NAS options for easier access for my data storage.
Figured that smb is mostly used in order to store and retrieve for the same for most of the machines, my current daily drive is windows so would be using that.
The major problem is reconnecting hdd again n again as I don’t have a laptop right now which is a major pain when getting off the desk and taking the laptop with you.
